Our Team

Paul L. Fischl, D.D.S.

Paul was born and raised in Evanston, with his parents and his five siblings. He is a proud graduate of Evanston Township High School, where he swam and played water polo. Paul's undergraduate degree is from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and his D.D.S. degree is from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he met his wife, Marie. Paul was president of both his undergraduate and his dental school fraternity.

Following dental school, Paul joined his father, Richard, in dental practice in Evanston, and he also taught in the Oral Diagnosis Department at the U. of I. College of Dentistry for six years. His wife, Marie, joined Richard and him in practice a couple of years later.

Paul enjoys his many hours of continuing dental education, especially through the L.D. Pankey Institute in Florida, where he has attended multiple courses, and where he has also helped teach.

Paul has served as President of the North Suburban Branch of the Chicago Dental Society, he has been on the Board of Directors of the Evanston Chamber of Commerce, and he has been a board member of the Glenbrook South Titan Booster Club. In October, 2009, Chicago Magazine named him one of Chicago's Top 40 dentists.

Paul enjoys running, swimming, biking, and platform tennis, and he is a fan of computer technology. He and Marie live in Glenview, and they enjoy spending time with their four children.

Fun fact: In 1970, Newsweek ran a cover story entitled, "What's Wrong with Our High Schools?" Evanston Township was featured in the article, and a photo taken in the E.T.H.S. hallway during the passing period shows Paul as a freshman looking right at the camera.

Marie Bradley Fischl, D.D.S.

Marie grew up with her parents and her three brothers on the South side of Chicago in the Rainbow Beach neighborhood. Her family then moved to Homewood, where she graduated from Homewood-Flossmoor High School. She completed her undergraduate education at St. Mary's College of Notre Dame, Indiana, where she was president of her junior class.

She received her D.D.S. from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she met her husband, Paul. Following dental school, she was a dental resident at Cook County Hospital. She joined Paul and her father-in-law, Richard, at Fischl Dental Associates after the residency.

Marie enjoys her many hours of continuing dental education. She is committed to giving her patients individualized care appropriate for each patient.

Marie and Paul have four children, and they reside in Glenview. Marie enjoys tennis, exercise, reading, and spending time with her children.

Fun fact: Three weeks after their honeymoon, between her second and third year of dental school, Marie did a rotation in the Oral Diagnosis Department, where Paul was an instructor. (Ask either one of them what grade she received her from her new husband...)

Brad Weiss, D.D.S.

Brad was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Brad's passion growing up was playing sports. He continued his soccer career at Indiana University in Bloomington where he was a member of the Big Ten Championship teams of 1991 and 1992. He earned a B.A. in Biology and moved on to Indiana University's School of Dentistry in Indianapolis where he was awarded the Dentsply International Merit Award for Prosthodontics. Brad's childhood dentist, Dr. Mark Stetzel inspired him to consider dentistry because he created a practice of friends as patients through individualized, excellent, comprehensive care and was able to maintain balance in his life.

Following dental school, Brad practiced in Kenilworth and Winnetka and gained experience with Lasers and Computer Aided Design and Machined Dentistry. Brad continued his education and the L.D. Pankey Institute in Florida and is honored to be a part of the Visiting Faculty since 2008. Brad was recently asked to co-facilitate a study group for dentists interested in developing relationship-based practices in Vancouver, B.C. to begin in October 2010.

Brad has held a staff appointment at Evanston Hospital where he oversees residents in Restorative Dentistry since 2004. He was a delegate for the Illinois State Dental Society from 2006-2008. Brad is currently on the Membership Committee for the Chicago Dental Society.

When not in the office, Brad is also the Vocational Services Chairman of the Evanston Lighthouse Rotary Club where he enjoys coordinating the Club's participation in Northwestern University's Campus Kitchens program.

Brad enjoys hockey, yoga, tennis, cooking, and, most of all, making memories with his wife Tiffany, and their three boys Braden, Charlie and Nolan. The Weisses live in Evanston.

Fun fact: Although Brad was named the 1990 Gatorade Player of the Year (Indiana's Mr. Soccer) his wife Tiffany accomplished something he could not. Her 1991 Libertyville team won the Illinois State Championship.
